Central Administration of Codebooks

Central administration of codebooks is an information system developed for the processing and providing of codebook data.

Central administration of codebooks is the source of important codebooks of rail transport (passenger and freight) and rail infrastructure for the needs of information systems and other users.  The processing is governed by regulation ČD I15 and by documents of a legislative nature for the respective codebooks included in the administration system. The system contains three types of sub-systems with user access via the Internet. These are codebook server, updating systems and codebooks of a coder type.

Codebook server

• Recording and technical procedures related to the enlargement of the current issue of a codebook (sets of data);
• information on the content of codebooks and data organization in the distribution database of the codebooks to implement direct access to the data;
• a format suitable for input into information systems.

Updating systems

• Updates of codebooks with creation of change and historical data;
• mutual links among respective codebooks;
• possibility of data preparation in advance (proposals);
• systems realized independently for the respective large codebooks or for more codebooks related by their contents;
• presentation of stated selected data.

Updates of codebooks, coder type

• Data collection and Terminology systems;
• domain of values of data elements defined by codebooks-coders;
• methodology of the processing in accordance with Czech standards ČSN 97 4001-1 and ČSN P 97 4001-2;
• processing and presentation of terminological standards including the printout in the format in accordance with  ČD M1 standard.
